Contact Bobbie Jo Traut (bobbiejot@singularhumanitarian.org) if you are interested in receiving your own Singular Humanitarian Personal Fundraising Toolkit which contains everything you need to get started in your fundraising efforts.  If an individual or a corporation is donating toward your expedition fee, there are a couple of critical details to keep in mind:

Please notify all potential private donors that donations must be made to CHOICE and all funds must arrive at the CHOICE office by the date the full expedition fee is due.

If you choose to fundraise a portion of your expedition fee, you will be responsible for tracking the status of the payments to ensure the donated funds will not create an overpayment of the expedition fee. To assist in tracking payments, CHOICE will provide a weekly payment status report. Please ensure all donations are made before the full expedition fee is due. If the account includes an overpayment, it is understood that the difference will be considered a donation to CHOICE and will not be refunded.

There will be no refunds of expedition fees other than those identified in the cancellation policy.

All matching contributions from corporations on behalf of expedition volunteers must be received at CHOICE headquarters no later than 15 days prior to the departure date. CHOICE is aware that some matching fund programs pay only on a quarterly basis. In this case, the volunteer and CHOICE will mutually agree upon a due date for receiving the matching funds. Notwithstanding this requirement, the volunteer will be responsible for ensuring that their full expedition fee is paid no later than 60 days prior to the expedition departure date. Singular Humanitarian encourages volunteers to apply for matching funds early enough to comply with this deadline.

Please contact Joanne Searcy at jsearcy@choicehumanitarian.org to make sure that donations coming in do not exceed the total amount of the expedition fee.
