Development Projects:
Education: Led teacher development workshops for 46 teachers and school principals from 16 villages, shadowed 7 teachers in 3 schools, conducted multi-day English learning modules.
Health: Treated 400 patients with eight rural health promoters in their 3rd year of training together with our clinicians, gave 3rd year of training to nine midwives, treated 200 dental patients concurrently while training two rural dentists in cleanings and extractions, held nine health/sanitation/nutrition workshops for 250 villagers.
Economic Development: Trained 70 women in budgeting, saving, business basics and microcredit, conducted training on cornhusk doll nativity for villagers to sell as source of income.
Infrastructure: Continued work installing pre-fabricated walls on the area’s first and only hospital in Nueva Concepción (22 rooms).

- Worked side by side with local villagers every day.
- Participated in arrival and farewell celebrations and dancing.
- Enjoyed social and cultural events such as soccer games, ultimate Frisbee, a cross-cultural talent show, and a day-in-the-life afternoon experience.
